The project has undergone a number of developments since its first inception in late 2020. The most notable of which was deciding the final form of the project and its classes.
Initially, I had planned to make each class as a YouTube video that would be accessed by the participating school. However, this proved to be more challenging than first envisioned. Editing video classes, each around 20 minutes in length, would not only have been extremely difficult with my pre-existing skillset; but also, would make the project more difficult for the participating school to engage with.
A key aim was to make my creative work suitable for a class of varying ability. As I would not be aware of the needs of the participating class, I understood that I would need to make my work easily adjustable to allow the class teacher to facilitate the learning needs of their students. With this, I decided the final form of the project would utilise Microsoft PowerPoint. PowerPoint is used within Scottish schools to deliver interactive learning, it allows for the teacher to alter the pace of classes and activities with ease.
PowerPoint allowed me to include all the content I had planned to include in video lessons. Additionally, it meant I could add sound files of myself in each slide which the class could listen to at their own pace. this eliminated the need to have long pauses in video content or the need for teachers to repeatedly pause and re-wind if the class required additional time on each topic.

Another benefit to PowerPoint was the ability to embed video content. This meant that video's could still be utilised when required whilst removing the need for the teacher to access these through the YouTube platform.
Pictured right is an example of a sound file and picture used in Lesson 1.
