Project Collaborators: Calum Brown.

When creating my own sound recordings and drumming based activities for each lesson, I required high quality recordings of bagpipes. Lacking the ability to play the bagpipes, I enlisted the help of professional piper, Calum Brown.

Calum made a number of recordings using a set of digital bagpipes. This allowed me to edit the recordings in a multitude of ways without distorting any of the sounds. This was extremely valuable to my creative process. Calum also contributed recordings of an acoustic practice chanter.
